This was a cobbled together kinda recipe. I chucked in a tin of Coopers instead of struggeling with a larger mash/boil size on my limited equipment capabilities. I have some Rye malt to experiment with so I just added a very small amount to see if it would do anything noticible, maybe impart a hint of spiciness. I used pilsner malt as the base grain because I have a quantity of it on hand. I went with fruity hops, Cascade, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Motueaka. I used the Citra more sparingly this time as I learned from my Citra Pale Ale that Citra can be quite over-bearing.

Tasting notes
5/1/2014: Tasted amazing at bottling, great hops aromas and flavours, hope they still come through after a few weeks in the bottle. Getting a distinct hit of Citra but just the right amount this time unlike my Citra Pale Ale which was too heavy on the Citra. Citra is a very dominent hop.
5/4/2014: This beer took 1st place at a local homebrew competition. However at this tasting it seemed to me to have lost quite a bit of hops aromas so I was pleasently surprised by the win.
30/1/2014: This came out really great - one of my best tasting beers, surprising since it was a cobbled together recipe and I chucked a tin of Coopers into it. Citra has faded back in the hops mix so definately not too much Citra, maybe just the right amount. A slight problem is that I over-carbed it, but I can solve that on the twist top bottles by releasing some pressure. Biggest problem is there is not much left and it's only been in the bottles just over 3 weeks!
